  <blockquote id="Xjcf"><em>simmer/noun: </em>A person deeply into flight simulation, usually with a strong interest in aviation, realism, and the experience of flying on a PC or console.</blockquote>
  <p id="GlpF">For a long time, I had the same problem every time I opened Microsoft Flight Simulator. Not during the flight itself, before it.</p>
  <p id="4zQF">I would sit there thinking: &quot;Where should I fly today?&quot;</p>
  <p id="KX0z">And somehow that simple question would turn into:</p>
  <ul id="Zf7K">
    <li id="fj5D">Opening random airport maps</li>
    <li id="w7iL">Trying to remember routes I wanted to revisit</li>
    <li id="4Qak">Visiting the same routes again</li>
  </ul>
  <p id="N9f3">The actual flying was immersive. Getting to the flight often wasn&#x27;t.</p>
  <p id="pkz3">So I started building something for myself.</p>
  <p id="76dd">Something lightweight, calmer, and focused on actually flying.</p>
  <p id="5mdS">That project became <a href="https://simmers.app" target="_blank">Simmers.app</a>.</p>
  <p id="pNFp"></p>
  <h2 id="OET6">What is Simmers.app?</h2>
  <figure id="o1AI" class="m_original">
    <img src="https://img3.teletype.in/files/25/6d/256d384f-092b-4d86-a591-73eeb9222040.png" width="1600" />
  </figure>
  <p id="dx5f">Simmers.app is a lightweight companion for flight simmers.</p>
  <p id="qtey">It helps you:</p>
  <ul id="CBMK">
    <li id="9eBu">Discover routes</li>
    <li id="ZNld">Save favorites</li>
    <li id="5Wwj">Log flights</li>
    <li id="UBO1">Track your flying history</li>
    <li id="qBQf">Build your hangar</li>
    <li id="cgrz">Share boarding passes</li>
    <li id="FCGu">And keep your sim sessions organized without turning the hobby into admin work</li>
  </ul>
  <p id="sPGj">It works with: Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 and 2020, and X-Plane 12. And it&#x27;s built primarily for casual flight simmers. Not every flight needs to feel like airline operations.<br /></p>
  <h2 id="3jk8">Find a route without overthinking it</h2>
  <figure id="eEpR" class="m_column">
    <img src="https://img2.teletype.in/files/18/72/1872bf77-4864-4ff8-bbff-67d472fdd6bf.png" width="2780" />
  </figure>
  <p id="RkCE">The core idea behind Simmers.app is simple: Reduce the friction between wanting to fly and actually flying.</p>
  <p id="pSeF">Sometimes you just want:</p>
  <ul id="fcIp">
    <li id="v7f7">A beautiful night approach</li>
    <li id="eakU">A 30 minute hop</li>
    <li id="WdYA">A regional jet route</li>
    <li id="2DsI">A calm coastal flight</li>
    <li id="JtcR">Or something challenging after work</li>
  </ul>
  <p id="Bm02">So the app gives you multiple ways to discover flights.</p>
  <p id="i2jU">You can:</p>
  <ul id="E86b">
    <li id="4trf">Answer a few quick prompts in &quot;What should I fly today?&quot;</li>
    <li id="KlbV">Browse curated routes</li>
    <li id="zU25">Or filter by:</li>
    <ul id="9n9t">
      <li id="iFCb">duration</li>
      <li id="syul">complexity</li>
      <li id="DjTY">aircraft type</li>
      <li id="D4md">region</li>
      <li id="3xZ3">time of day</li>
    </ul>
  </ul>
  <p id="6LWG">No giant dispatch workflow. No ACARS setup. No pretending you&#x27;re managing an airline (for now, we might introduce that feature later). Just: &quot;Give me a good route and let me fly.&quot;</p>
  <p id="AM7W"></p>
  <h2 id="noae">More than a route picker</h2>
  <figure id="amU6" class="m_column">
    <img src="https://img2.teletype.in/files/9f/5f/9f5f289b-6d94-4886-bc77-5e32e9fe4981.png" width="960" />
    <figcaption>A sharable <a href="https://simmers.app/boarding-pass/TNCB-TNCA?name=Carlos+Lugones&class=captain&flight=LGO737&date=2026-05-10&boarding=18%253A49&action=share" target="_blank">boarding pass</a></figcaption>
  </figure>
  <p id="YHkh">As I kept building, I realized I didn&#x27;t just want route discovery. I wanted continuity between sim sessions. So Simmers.app evolved into <strong>something bigger</strong>.</p>
  <p id="Zn5j">You can now:</p>
  <ul id="dkPp">
    <li id="3UtF">Save routes for later</li>
    <li id="K9qF">Log flights</li>
    <li id="pBJg">Track airports and regions visited</li>
    <li id="SPJ5">Create a personal hangar</li>
    <li id="dqYm">Reuse aircraft presets</li>
    <li id="qxbS">View your flight map</li>
    <li id="qkae">Build a public pilot profile</li>
    <li id="EkqP">And generate shareable boarding passes</li>
  </ul>
  <p id="ZyrJ">The goal isn&#x27;t realism for the sake of realism. It&#x27;s helping your virtual flying life feel persistent.</p>
  <h2 id="OU5x"></h2>
  <h2 id="1n3V">Community routes</h2>
  <p id="QfC4">The platform also includes community-submitted routes.</p>
  <p id="Ry7m">Pilots can:</p>
  <ul id="4E3j">
    <li id="2RBs">Propose new routes</li>
    <li id="5zbn">Vote on routes</li>
    <li id="o0pE">Help expand the catalog</li>
    <li id="6ak0">And contribute discoveries from around the world</li>
  </ul>
  <p id="8dot">Right now the platform already contains more than 2,000 curated routes covering most world regions. Community routes are the next layer on top of that foundation.</p>
  <h2 id="OnUC"></h2>
  <h2 id="loCR">What&#x27;s next?</h2>
  <p id="zer6">Right now the focus is improving the core features:</p>
  <p id="Xcsr">Discover → Save → Fly → Log → Share</p>
  <p id="6pSy">Some of the next areas I&#x27;m exploring:</p>
  <ul id="9WdB">
    <li id="ZFew">Curated route collections</li>
    <li id="MBJf">Better progression systems</li>
    <li id="E32X">Richer logbook summaries</li>
    <li id="vylr">Flight recap cards</li>
    <li id="BKi1">Streamer-friendly tools</li>
    <li id="ZU66">And deeper community contributions</li>
  </ul>
  <p id="z3wh">But the philosophy stays the same: Less setup, more actual flying.</p>
  <p id="xFbM"></p>
  <h2 id="QSrs">Try it</h2>

  <p id="6XZJ">Simmers.app is live now:</p>
  <p id="qiZw"><a href="https://simmers.app" target="_blank">https://simmers.app</a></p>
  <p id="X03U">If you&#x27;re into flight simulation, I&#x27;d genuinely love to hear <a href="mailto:contact@carloslugones.com" target="_blank">what you think</a>.</p>
